The Jet Bicycle is here, thanks to British garage inventor Colin Furze. Clearly, this is not a viable option for replacing your daily commuter, for fear of vaporizing the surrounding traffic and quite possibly yourself.
Despite the obvious safety concerns on display in the video (below), it’s clear that Colin is having a blast (pun intended). This pulse jet engine has been integrated with an older model ladies bike. The engine uses no moving parts and is characterized by a relatively high thrust-to-weight ratio and being extremely loud. Because they also generate a lot of heat, you’re more likely to find them in biomass plants than propelling aircraft, or bicycles as the case may be.
This is a fun video – play loud.
